Overview
Our client is a leading international Catholic ministry organization working across 30+ countries to provide humanitarian aid and support to underserved communities worldwide. They are seeking a dedicated Temporary Development Associate to join their Major Donors team for a 3-month contract supporting donor stewardship and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional donor stewardship through personalized phone calls expressing gratitude for contributions
- Write compelling thank-you notes and emails highlighting donation impact on ministry efforts
- Share seasonal and liturgical stewardship content including prayers and ministry updates
- Support Leadership Annual Giving Program focusing on mid-level donors ($500-$5,000 annually)
- Manage donor database entries and maintain accurate records
- Perform high-volume mail merge operations and data management tasks
- Draft professional correspondence and donor communications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-2 years professional fundraising experience or equivalent field sales/territory management
- Understanding of fundraising as stewardship ministry
- Experience with CRM systems or donor databases highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sensitivity to Christian-based fundraising environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information
