Principal Salesforce Developer - Lead
Contract Position | 12 Months | $69/hour | West Palm Beach, FL (On-site)Overview
Our client is a leading energy company seeking an exceptional Principal Salesforce Developer to serve as the technical architect and strategic leader for their Salesforce platform. This role requires deep expertise in Salesforce architecture, proven leadership in driving enterprise-wide initiatives, and the ability to establish technical standards and best practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical excellence with strategic vision, mentoring senior developers, and partnering with executive stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Define and enforce Salesforce architecture standards, design patterns, and governance frameworks across the enterprise
- Architect complex, scalable solutions spanning multiple Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing) and integrations
- Lead technical due diligence for platform upgrades, third-party packages, and emerging Salesforce technologies including AI/Einstein capabilities
- Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
- Establish security architecture including data governance, compliance frameworks, and audit controls
Advanced Development & Innovation
- Design and develop sophisticated solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture
- Lead integration initiatives with enterprise systems and third-party applications
- Implement advanced automation and AI-driven solutions
- Mentor senior developers and establish coding standards
Requirements
- 15+ years of software development experience with 8+ years focused on Salesforce platform
- Proven experience as a technical architect in large enterprise environments
- Expert-level knowledge of Salesforce architecture, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integration patterns
- Strong leadership experience mentoring senior technical teams
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD implementation
- Deep understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Multiple Salesforce certifications preferred (Technical Architect, System Architect)
