Contract Position | 12 Months | $53.73/hour | Juno Beach, FL
Overview
Our client is a leading energy company seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead pre-construction activities for solar repower projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all pre-construction activities for solar repower projects from inception to construction readiness
- Coordinate project planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance activities
- Develop comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, environmental, legal, and construction teams
- Manage stakeholder communications and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
- Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior management
- Coordinate with transmission and substation (T&S) teams for system integration
- Review and approve project documentation, contracts, and technical specifications
Requirements
- 6-10 years of project management experience, preferably in renewable energy or utility-scale solar projects
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Strong experience with pre-construction project phases including planning, permitting, and design coordination
- Knowledge of solar energy systems, electrical infrastructure, and utility operations
- Familiarity with transmission and substation (T&S) systems and integration
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- PMP certification preferred
- Ability to work full-time on-site at Juno Beach, FL location
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and permitting processes for solar projects
