Overview

We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Manager to oversee the daily operations of a water treatment plant and associated well systems at a large industrial facility. This role is critical in ensuring consistent water quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across the site.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in water/wastewater treatment, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to environmental compliance and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain all water treatment plant operations, including wells, equipment, chemical inventory, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure optimal water quality and supply to support facility-wide operations
  • Monitor system performance by analyzing operational data, logs, and treatment outcomes; implement improvements as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and permitting requirements
  • Supervise and lead water treatment operators, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment with proper tools, equipment, and safety practices
  • Coordinate with environmental and operational teams to support overall site objectives

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater treatment operations
  • Valid Water Treatment license with required endorsements
  • Strong knowledge of environmental compliance standards and state/federal regulations (including EPA guidelines)
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage day-to-day plant operations
